The heart, which began as a massive monument filled with love messages is now a social platform of a different kind — a living repository of human connections built by people all over the world
Toronto’s Maria and Andrei have built something completely different in an age where the Internet is dominated by division and outrage.
The project, created through the House of Love platform, combines storytelling, art, technology and emotion to create what is described as the first interactive large-scale love monument in the world. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a huge digital heart that is made of thousands of love letters submitted by individuals from all walks of life, cities and countries.
Users can explore individual messages and create profiles. They can also add their own memories and thoughts about human connection and love.
According to the creators of this digital installation, it is much more than that.
Andrei, the co-founder of House of Love says: “What we are really creating is a space that will be inhabited by humanity.” We wanted to make something that reminded people of the love that still exists around them — relationships, friendships and family.

The monument will continue to evolve as more people add their contributions. It is envisioned that the collection of love stories, personal expression, human emotions, and wisdom in the heart of the city, which has never been gathered before, would become one of the largest ever. Long-term, the vision is for the heart to become a social platform that promotes positivity, connection, vulnerability and human experience.
Maria and Andrei are also embarking on an epic journey across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver in order to celebrate their launch. They will be collecting messages and stories from all over the country.
They plan to work with local business owners, artists, media outlets and supporters to bring this movement to life.
According to the creators, the concept for this project was born out of a small love note between them. It grew into something much bigger: people are looking for connections, meaning and places where they can truly express themselves.
Maria says, “We have platforms built for everything that we do in the modern world.” There are still not many online places that focus on love, human connection, and emotion. “We wanted to change this.”
In the next few weeks, the Biggest Heart in the World will officially be launched through House of Love. Early visitors to the site will have the opportunity to see the monument and leave messages. They will also become a part of the movement that its creators are hoping will turn into a global love-centered movement.
