Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has requested public help to find a Texas teenager who disappeared from her home in the northwest Bexar County on Christmas Eve.
Camila Mendoza, 19, has been reported missing by the sheriff’s office. She was last seen Wednesday morning leaving her home in Caspian Spring 11000 Block just before 7 am.
Daily Mail reported that authorities have identified the location where she disappeared as a hotspot for human trafficking.
Camila usually leaves the house for an early morning stroll around this time, according to her family. They became concerned when Camila failed to return.
Camila was spotted searching for an unidentified item in her car on the morning she disappeared. The video ended shortly after the footage.
The investigators think she was on foot because her car had been left at the house. Investigators believe she only has her keys to her vehicle and possibly her license.
Shortly after Camila disappeared, police issued a Clear Alert. This is a statewide Texas alert to help track down adults who are missing or at risk.
According to KENS5, Camila Olmos’ mother Rosario Olmos shared her distressing account of what happened the day before Camila vanished.
Rosario and Camila were sharing a mattress on Wednesday when Rosario heard Camila getting up. Rosario woke up about an hour and half after Camila had left.
Rosario’s suspicions grew after she discovered that her daughter had left the cell phone on top of the bed with its power off. Camila’s car was still parked in the driveway.
Rosario: “I tried to call her, but it wasn’t working. The phone was on the bed and turned off.”
I put the charger on and set out to find her. “I thought that I would walk to her and find her, as I have done in the past. We would then come back together.”
Rosario escalated the situation after she contacted Camila’s boyfriend and father, only to discover that they had not heard anything from him. She then contacted the sheriff’s office in order to report a missing persons.
The friends and family members of the 19-year old missing scoured the neighborhood near her home but found no clues.
Rosario said that her daughter’s disappearance was out of character and that she and the daughter were in constant contact and knew each other’s locations.
Rosario appealed for support in a public and emotional way.
She said, “I just ask God that you please bring her home.” Bring her home to me.
Then, from your heart, ask God, the Angels and Virgin Mary (or whoever else you may believe), to bring my daughter back.
Camila’s aunt Nancy Olmos urged the public to pray for Camila and spread her information online, Daily Mail reported.
Nancy asked for help. We are still looking for Camila Mendoza-Olmos (19 years old), my 19 year old niece.
Camila stands at 5’4″ and weighs approximately 110 lbs. Last seen in a black and baby blue hoodie with white sneakers and baby blue bottoms.
