Rome, 10th March 2025. Pi School announces the creation of EVE Earth Virtual Expert. This is a large language model with expertise in Earth Observation and Earth Sciences. The European Space Agency Ph-lab has allocated EUR1million to this project.
EVE, a digital AI expert that can answer complex Earth Sciences queries using natural language and reliable data developed by Pi School with Imperative Space. This is part of ESA’s #AI4EO initiative, which aims to transform data-driven insight for science, society, and the environment.

This project features a web-based platform that is easy to use and an API (application programming interface) for developers. It will allow seamless integration for policymakers and professionals in the industry, as well as researchers. ESA PhLab’s vision for the future is to create a digital assistant that makes complex EO information available to everyone interested in Earth Observation.
