Find PJ Library DIY Question Catcher on a Box of Streit’s Matzo celebrating the 100th anniversary

PJ Library, a free Jewish global book program, has teamed up once more with Streit’s Matzos to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Streit’s Matzos. PJ Library will use its magic and bring together matzos, questions, and PJ Library. Passover begins on APRIL 12 at sunset.

Seders, or festive Passover dinners are being planned by Jewish families as Passover nears on April 12. North America has many different seders. Some families will have their children read the Haggadah while others may only want them to be engaged for 15 minutes. Sephardic Seder goers might enjoy dates as part of their charoset. Vegetarian households could substitute a beet for the shankbone on the traditional seder plate. Two of these factors are common to all? Matzo, questions.

This year PJ Library, a free Jewish global book program is teaming up once more with Streit’s Matzos to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Streit and bring together matzos, questions, and PJ Library magic. Streit’s 100th Anniversary Box, featuring a new design and PJ Library Books, is available to families in the U.S.

In the 5 lb box, young Afikomen seekers will be thrilled to find an envelope with custom-made “question catchers”, origami style hand toys. The kids can make their own and then use the symbols and numbers to search for questions like “You’ve just crossed the Red Sea!” You’re free! You’re free! What is the one person that you would like to help? “Tell us about the person you wish to help.

The interactive question catchers combine the traditional tradition of imagining yourself in the Passover tale with the dynamic Jewish family experience for which PJ Library has become known. PJ Library continues to create experiences for children of all ages, and all levels of understanding by including two versions of a question catcher.

Alex Zablotsky is Executive Director of PJ Library. “Passover has become the biggest Jewish festival,” he says. It’s an important time to connect with families that want to share Jewish tradition and engage their children at the seder. Streit’s has opened their matzo box to us, so that we not only can reach new families but also delight them with what PJ Library offers.

Streit’s is about passing traditions down from generation to generations. The entrepreneurial brand has been providing matzo for Jewish families for 100 years.

Aaron Gross, executive vice president of Streit’s Matzos, says that Passover is the quintessential Jewish tale. We use food to tell this story and matzo in particular. Our values are deeply rooted in our partnership with PJ Library to help tell the Passover and other Jewish stories to more families. My great-great-grandfather Aron Streit handed down this business to his descendants. We are happy to assist families in creating their own holiday tradition to be passed on.
